Sr Talent Acquisition Specialist

Mount Prospect, IL

The Sr. Recruiter is responsible for helping Mizkan reach its strategic goals by attracting and recommending for hire top-performing employees from Director level to support staff. Reporting to the Associate Director of HR, this person is responsible for full lifecycle recruiting: screening, recruiting, interviewing and recommending placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods (internal and external.) It also includes offer development working within the organization's authority matrix. This position is mainly responsible for recruiting for professional level openings at the Corporate headquarters but may also get involved in assisting the field HR teams with their hard-to-fill positions. Opportunity exists to expand this role for the right candidate.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and recommends Talent Acquisition strategies to ensure successful searches within budget
  • Partners with hiring manager to determine position requirements
  • Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings
  • Uses traditional and nontraditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates to include LinkedIn
  • Manages internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.
  • Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process
  • Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients and vendors to ensure achievement of staffing goals
  • Develops and reports against Recruiting Key Performance Indicators
  • Creates staffing requisitions and candidate offers for approval utilizing the Applicant Tracking System
  • Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation)
  • Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance
  • Facilitates training / coaching to individuals and groups related to interviewing 
  • May creates interview guides for each position
  • Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Partners with and may assist field HR team with sourcing strategies and recruiting hard to fill positions
  • Maintains memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organization related to industry
  • May assist with other HR-related projects


Supervisory Responsibility

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or equivalent work experience required
  • 5-7 years of experience recruiting for professional level positions
  • CPG experience especially in the food industry a plus
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization
  • ADP Vantage or similar HRIS/ATS experience required
  • Strong experience utilizing LinkedIn to access passive candidates
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP, PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
