Sr Product/UX Designer

đź’» ABOUT AMSD

We're an endlessly curious team of UX / Product Designers who work with everyone from cryptocurrency web apps to healthcare mobile apps and online marketplace websites. We focus on consumer-facing tech products and specialize in 3 main areas: cultivating deep user empathy, poking holes in existing user experiences, and crafting products from the ground up. We take fuzzy ideas and bring them to life. Literally.

We also value freedom and radical responsibility like no other. We’re 100% remote (we love to travel and #WorkFromAnywhere). We also meet up during the year IRL to work/play together and have some fun.

🧬 WHO YOU ARE

You are an A-Player. You’re curious about the world and love getting things done. You value a growth-mindset, and have worked hard to cultivate that in yourself. You cringe when you see buttons misaligned on screens or Comic Sans font. You can’t stop talking about how much Figma changed your life. Your heart and mind are constantly looking out for your products’ users. If you’re presented with something new / unfamiliar, you dive into problem-solving mode fearlessly. Your first instinct is to “figure it out” and you’re always ready to be scrappy. You are thoughtful, empathetic, and full of heart.

đź’Ľ WHAT YOU'LL OWN

You’ll be owning specific client projects and be responsible for the strategy/execution of the product output. You’ll wear lots of hats + learn about several different businesses, platforms, and industries all at once. There’s always something new and exciting to be working on.

You’ll be the design lead on projects which means you’ll be coming up with the vision and overseeing the end-to-end creation. Creating app designs, developing UI styles, presenting your work, sharing design feedback, and designing landing pages are a few of the things you might work on in a typical week.

As a senior member of the AMSD team, you’ll also be responsible for reviewing teammates’ projects as they progress. You’ll often be providing feedback via ClickUp through Loom videos or Figma comments. Design reviews are how we consistently create high-quality work for our clients, so this is a crucial part of our process. Aside from this, you’ll likely take on a mentorship role with other teammates and help them continue to flourish as designers.

Someone who excels in this role will become a key stakeholder in Avani Miriyala Strategy + Design with the ability to inform strategy, select their projects, and lead client communications.

🙋🏽‍♀️ ABOUT YOU

We need someone who is excited to add value to amazing clients, learn a lot, work hard, and have fun. This person is willing to try on different roles, do what it takes, and switch gears quickly. We care about attention to detail (down to the pixel). But most of all, we care about communication + transparency.
