Sr. Manager, Retail Operations

The SR. Manager of Retail Operations is responsible for managing all personnel, inventory purchasing and tracking, sales goals and bonus targets, and the general day-to-day matters for all assigned dispensaries in their region. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage dispensary cashflow, staff, schedules, inventory and customer relations. 
  • Serve as a role model and resource for General Managers and staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news and changes in regulations. 
  • Coordinates with the corporate retail team to ensure accurate information is communicated to dispensary staff. 
  • Identify, plan, and delegates responsibilities to the General Manager(s) and/or store-level team to ensure a smooth flow of operations within the company. 
  • Creates implementation plans to achieve both operational efficiency and optimal results. 
  • Solicits feedback to understand customer needs and the needs of the community. 
  • Provide regional inventory, sales and profitability reports to the corporate retail team. 
  • Maintain and responsible for accurate records of all dispensary activities including cash reconciliations, customer records, sales, deliveries and returns in accordance with IL laws and regulations. 
  • Partners with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition business partners to plan and execute staffing requirements. 
  • Identifies ways to reduce turnover rate within their locations and creates a safe and positive work environment. 
  • Assisting in interviewing process and candidate selection. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age. 
  • High school degree or general education degree (GED) is required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Store Manager in retail or hospitality required. 
  • Demonstrated passion to serving the adult cannabis community. 
  • Proven ability to manage teams effectively. 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills. 
  • Understanding of accounting principles and ability to interpret financial data. 
  • Computer operating skills. 
  • Must be able to pass a background check 
  • Experience analyzing financial reports 
  • Strong operational skills in a customer-service environment 
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information 
  • Working knowledge of business processes and system development

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls.

The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 10lbs. Able to stand up to 90% of the time. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include hearing in the normal audio range with or without correction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus.
