Sr. Manager, Patient Engagement and Health Access Equity, THV

Irvine, CA

This role within the groundbreaking Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV) division

presents an opportunity for a strong marketer, market development, and

communications expert to build upon existing patient engagement and health access equity programs to drive toward equal awareness and treatment for all with aortic stenosis.


This is a new and critically important role will focus on engaging patients who have been treated with a transcatheter therapy device, and will also build and implement programs to improve health equity on underserved patient populations and specifically racial/ethnic groups. This position is focused on the US market.

Responsibilities include:

• Build programs to cultivate and facilitate patient inclusion throughout

the pathway, including by not limited to: nurture streams, story

curation, outreach campaigns and events

• Build and implement focused educational programs to reach

underserved patient populations from pre-diagnosis through treatment

(disease through therapy awareness)

• Program management (PE and HAE) including agency, fulfillment,

vendor relationships, contracts, and budgets, collaborating with crossfunctional partners

• Integrate and advance digital programs, which effectively and

consistently reach and support these focused patient target audiences

and communities

• Support the operational planning of activities with community-based

and societal organizations, and patient groups, as well as conference

and event organization and coordination

• Amplify patient voice through internal channels and meetings to

support the needs of the patient

• Serve as point of contact for inquiries from patients who have been

treated with a transcatheter therapy device

• Lead Patient Experience Events (IRV), Patient Listening Sessions,

campus visits and co-sponsored regional programs

• Development and management of patient database for THV

• Budget management

• Develop a strong and comprehensive market understanding, including

deep patient and cultural insights, in order to develop impactful positioning, messaging and content for these focused patient target audiences and communities

• Manage tableau dashboard and provide regular reports to evaluate and optimize programs working with Digital and Advanced Analytics teams (and cross functional stakeholders)

• Travel up to 30%


Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in in related field, 10 years of experience

• “Start up” mentality

• Experience in public relations and behavioral science is preferred

• Ability to work independently and be self-directed

• Strong project management, agency/vendor management, organization and tactical execution skills

• Demonstrated track record of successful outreach and market development programs, with strong therapy acumen and an understanding of patient needs and mindset

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a cross-functional environment are essential

• Ability to provide thoughtful, strategic recommendations while simultaneously managing tactical execution

• Comfortable driving a process with multiple stakeholders and leading meetings

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to think and work both strategically and tactically are required

• Strong collaborator as well as a demonstrated ability to influence, motivate and lead others is required

• Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization


Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree or equivalent 8 years experience related to working in marketing or healthcare industry Required

• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
