Sr. Manager, Operations

How will you make an impact?

In the competitive market place of PPA product, time to market is critical. Developing strategies within the team of functional managers to appropriately meet safety, quality, delivery and cost criterion is a major part of this role. Developing measures that reflect this performance will be critical for success in this role.


What will you do?

  • Driving a Lean Culture across the enterprise; Being a Lean Leader responsible for achieving and maintaining a safe, quality, efficient and cost-effective operation, achieving planned operational and financial targets within the SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost) model, whilst continuously improving the business processes and its people.
  • Championing “Practical Process Improvement” (PPI) culture, and driving business process improvements within cross-functional environments
  • Driving growth through implementing BU-aligned site level strategy deployment and key business metrics in order to deliver on annual operating plan (AOP)
  • Building a customer-focused culture through embracing the CARES program and building customer allegiance using the CAS (Customer Acceptance Score) surveys to promote awareness.
  • Ensuring alignment of operations, NPD (new product development) and sales and marketing strategies
  • Through metrics board coaching, Kaizen projects and PMD process, ensure work cell and employee goals and objectives are aligned with the strategic and AOP goals of the business and division.


How will you get there?

Education

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a science or technical field, Engineering or Operations; with preferably a MBA and/or Masters in Operations Management or Engineering.

Experience

  • Strong communication, time management, organizational team-building, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated history of driving cross-functional and diverse teams to succeed. Drive with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Proven experience and leadership with successfully carrying out the following tasks
  • Good understanding of global organizations (organizations with international locations/customers/etc.).
  • Proven track record driving continuous improvement culture.
  • Relevant experience in commercial or operations functions, with direct industry experience preferred.

  • Strong financial and operations knowledge.
  • Ability to develop successful growth strategies and oversee execution.
  • ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Lean Enterprise knowledge
