Sr. Manager, Finance

Calabasas, CA

Wella Finance seeks a highly accountable, self-driven Sr. Manager to lead our Pro and Retail Brand Analysis program. Reporting to the FP&A and Brand Finance director, this role drives significant influence on the Americas business by leading deep dive analytics and management reporting of gross margin and product initiatives. This role is highly visible in the organization with regular opportunities to present to local leadership and on occasion, global leadership.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Compile and present monthly gross margin results with relevant and actionable business insights at regular supply planning connects and directly to Marketing / Trade Marketing teams
  • Compile and present Quarterly Gross Margin Deep Dive deck with relevant and actionable business insights regarding business progress against defined gross margin expansion opportunities
  • Lead Initiative Economics analysis, including reviews with Finance Director, that proactively flags key opportunities for financial improvement. In addition, lead a refresh and redeployment of our initiative analysis standards and training decks with Marketing / Trade Marketing partners
  • Coordinate update of Wella Initiative In-Market Performance Tracker every six months, including quantitative update of in-market results and a written summary of key findings and recommended action steps

  • Experience leading change and problem solving through influence with business partners to drive company goals
  • Ability to synthesize and concisely communicate actionable business insights in a manner presentable to region and global leadership
  • Ability to scan business for improvement opportunities, generate concrete proposals for executing these improvements and lead their execution in a way that delivers measurable business results


Qualifications:

  • A bachelors or graduate degree in Finance or Economics
  • Prior experience in consumer products or beauty industry desirable
