Visier is seeking a Sr. Information Privacy Professional to be responsible for driving global privacy initiatives and requirements comprehensive policy, processes and practices for business stakeholders. You will also guide our customers to understand Visler's privacy and data handling practices. This is an ideal role for an individual who has a holistic, principles-based approach to privacy. Additionally, we seek an individual keen to forge new ground in the emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) space. 


What you'll be doing...

  • Manage Visier's privacy and data protection programs on a global basis
  • Enhance Visler's privacy-aware culture through education and awareness initiatives
  • Demonstrate clear thought leadership on emerging fields of privacy, particularly around AI
  • Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to establish strong data privacy practices within the departments
  • Keep informed on global privacy trends to ensure proactive and compliant responses
  • Support vendor privacy risk management activities
  • Support sales activities for pre-sales engagements
  • Support marketing activities and permissioning with an emphasis on global marketing requirements/anti-spam practices 
  • Partner with our Legal, Governance, Risk and Compliance, and Information Security teams to create holistic compliance initiatives
  • Maintain and update Visier privacy notices, cookies consents, opt-in/opt-out processes
  • Serve as a trusted subject matter expert


What you'll bring to the table...

  • Post secondary degree in a relevant area of study such as Information security, business, law or risk management
  • Knowledge of global privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act)
  • IAPP certification (or equivalent experience), such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, CITP
  • 5 years experience in the Information security, audit, risk, privacy and/or compliance fields
  • Proven ability to provide thought leadership and proactively address emerging privacy matters
  • Experience with industry best practices in compliance software

The base pay range for this position in Canada is $96,000 - $140,000/ year + bonus


The compensation offered will be determined by factors such as relevant qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. Many of our positions are eligible for additional types of compensation (e.g., commission plans, bonus, etc.) which our Talent Acquisition team will share with you if you interview for the role.
