Sr. Financial Systems Analyst

Mount Prospect, IL

The Senior Finance Analyst will support accounting, consolidations, tax, and finance systems. The position will be responsible for supporting the fixed asset capitalization and reconciliation process, the tax schedule preparation and filings, and providing systems support for design, testing, implementation, and evaluation of automated financial accounting systems.  


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports and collaborates with all of the Corporate Accounting, Plant Accounting, and Finance functional areas and departments
  • Functions as Backup Administrator of Management Reporter (Microsoft Dynamics report writer) which includes, but may not be limited to, maintenance of row, column, and tree definitions when a general ledger account or financial dimension is added or changed
  • Trouble shoots user BPC and Management Reporter issues
  • Creates testing scenarios and participates in testing, where required
  • Assists in the implementation of new systems, where required
  • Develops and design reports and queries that assist in the analysis of data.
  • Performs period-end financial close responsibilities including fixed asset capitalization and reconciliations
  • Support the federal and state reporting function, including compliance data collection, reporting and audit support
  • Provides ad hoc financial information requests and performs analyses

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or related area preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered if the candidate has, at least 3-5 years of working experience acting as a liaison between an Accounting/Finance and IT departments with a proficient understanding of accounting topics
  • Microsoft D365 experience is desirable
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft products, with advanced Excel skills
  • Must be customer service oriented, have strong problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Must be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision and be able to work well within a team
  • Must have excellent organizational, time management, prioritization, and verbal and written communication skills
