Sr. Editor, Marketing Communications

Los Alamitos, CA

Are you an experienced writer and editor with an eagle eye for detail? Would you like to join a high-energy, fast-paced, well-respected MarComm Team? This dynamic group acts as an in-house agency, helping our product teams create compelling content. We’re looking for a detail-oriented Sr. Editor who can produce captivating marketing copy while also ensuring the quality and consistency of our collateral stays top-notch. In this role, you will work closely with key stakeholders across departments to develop and proofread content for B2B and B2C business units. Responsibilities include creative and technical writing, thorough proofreading, updating branding guidelines and more. Copy Development

  • Researches, writes and edits/proofs content for all Epson branded products
  • As a member of the product launch team, participates in launch meetings, creative input meetings, copy review meetings and approval meetings
  • Collaborates with product management, and the creative team to ensure copy meets intended product positioning and reaches target audience as defined by marketing briefs
  • Serves as liaison with Legal department to ensure marketing collateral meets trademark and legal guidelines
  • Conducts informal market reviews of competitor product copy and collateral materials

 

Content/Review Editing

  • Ensures quality standards by providing peer reviews and editing of materials for accuracy and consistency to departmental standards
  • Ensures packaging, collateral and POS materials meet corporate standards, in-house style guidelines and legal requirements
  • Maintains the corporate style guide, copy database, legal disclaimers list, templates and other tools required for quality assurance

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of related experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Agency experience is a must
  • B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
