Sr Director, Equity, Inclusion & Diversity

The Director, Diversity & Inclusion drives the strategic planning, development, execution and measurement of Tapestry’s initiatives for a diverse and inclusive workplace. The Director, Diversity & Inclusion partners with all levels of the organization and third parties as needed to action on a holistic D&I strategy and to establish accountability for key deliverables. This role will dually report to the co-leaders of Inclusion: SVP, Human Resources & Social Impact and VP, Global Talent and Inclusion.

 

 

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Diversity and Inclusion to...

  • In partnership with co-leaders, develop, implement and evaluate initiatives in support of Tapestry’s vision and D&I strategy.
  • Assess, measure and track diversity & inclusion with key outputs connected to recruitment, succession and internal/external surveys
  • Update key stakeholders on the progress of Tapestry’s D&I initiatives
  • Support the efforts and programs of Tapestry’s North America Inclusion Council.
  • Develop ERGs and ensure they run effectively.
  • Identify, evaluate, develop and support all diversity-related sponsorship opportunities and membership affiliations.
  • Identify, evaluate and introduce appropriate external partnerships to further access to diversity sourcing
  • Manage D&I related surveys including selection, completion & measuring ROI.
  • Cultivate relationships with organizations that will support Tapestry’s vision of an inclusive and diverse workplace
  • Oversee all diversity-related aspects of RFP responses.
  • Collaborate with the Communications and Talent Branding teams to ensure that inclusion is considered and integrated into all aspects of Tapestry’s internal and external communications, and to support regular communication of diversity initiatives, events and progress.
  • Collaborate with the Global People and Organization Development (GPOD) team on D&I-related training programs

  • A deep passion for and experience in Diversity & Inclusion
  • Strong program management experience
  • A proven track record of facilitating company-level initiatives with multiple stakeholders, including senior level leaders
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with speed and accuracy while being highly organized
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to develop insights, telling stories, driving decisions and measuring impact
  • A high level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

 

An outstanding professional will have...

  • A Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree or MBA preferred)
  • 8+ years of experience in Human Resources, Communications, or a related field
  • Experience in a formal diversity and inclusion position
  • Experience in a fast-paced, global work environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
