Sr. Director/Director of Strategic Finance

Zola is looking for an exceptional leader to join the Finance team as head of Strategic Finance.

This is a critical role that helps drive financial and strategic decisions in a rapid growth environment. The role will report into the CFO and lead the company’s FP&A, strategic planning and corporate development efforts. This person will work closely with executives and key leaders across the organization to drive short-term and long-term business and capital allocation decisions.

This role is ideal for someone with proven track record of leading high impact FP&A teams and have prior experience in corporate finance.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and mentor a high performing team
Lead rigorous and accurate financial budgeting and forecasting processes including all three financial statements
Drive long range and strategic planning discussions
Partner with executive team on potential capital raises; lead M&A deal sourcing and execution
Effective finance partner for business and department leads
Enhance and monitor key metrics and performance indicators to drive business performance
Partner with accounting and BI/data team to ensure visibility and integrity of business and financial data
Collaborate with Controller and accounting team on month end close and financial reporting
Analyze competitive and industry benchmarking and provide actionable insights

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years work experience in finance roles with at least 3 years in financial planning
Experience in investment banking or corporate development a plus
Experience in consumer business preferred
Demonstrated success in building or leading a high performing team
Significant expertise and passion for robust, auditable, and well-structured financial models
Proficient in three-statement financial models
Team player and great communicator
Familiarity and comfort with GAAP principles
Experience in public companies and with ERP systems a plus
