Sr Business Planning Analyst

As a key member of our US Sales team, you will be responsible for the collection, reporting and analysis of customer retail data supporting our Walmart Sales Team. You will be the team expert on the functional design and development of reporting tools to address requirements across our omnichannel business bringing to life top industry techniques for efficient flow of data and actionable analysis.

  

A Day in The Life:

Reporting: Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions, and design, develop, implement, and maintain reporting and dashboards. 

  • Support the implementation of sales analytics tools and establish understanding of new metrics, context and action to drive omnichannel share & sales growth opportunities. 
  • Learn about the needs of our customer and provide analytical solutions to solve business issues. 
  • Combine multiple data sets, determining the best approach and variables, drilling to the root cause through analysis and business knowledge.
  • Gain an understanding of internal & industry reporting and how we can leverage data sets to gain understanding into our business and total US Hasbro business
  • Develop and maintain total and category level weekly reporting, such as Daily POS reports, Scorecards, and POS ladder plans.
  • Develop and maintain actionable, and exception based, Ecommerce reporting including an item setup audit and wave management tool. 


Retail Analytics:

  • Analyze customer and consumer data and research to identify trends, key indicators, patterns, and insights. 
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to Walmart Team on patterns and relationships in data, along with recommendations and opportunities for revenue growth, new ideas, and creative solutions. 
  • Communicate analysis using comprehensive, easy to digest methods that will translate into impactful and actionable reports.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Software or Systems, Business, Finance, Economics or related field. •   2-3 years of progressive, relevant business experience. 
  • Proven ability to translate business challenges, questions, and user needs into analysis design and translate data into insights and recommendations
  • Display competence in automating processes and creating efficiencies in reporting, business planning & execution. 
  • Demonstrated aptitude for creatively solving problems in a fast paced and high intensity environment.
  • Experience extracting data from retail POS systems e.g. MerchIQ, Vendor Central, Retail Link experience a plus. 
  • Experience presenting information to and soliciting feedback from small and medium-sized groups. 


Technical Knowledge and Skills:

  • Technical skills in Advanced Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, VBA/Macros, and Power BI. 
  • Familiarity with techniques and tools used in functional design, data analysis, and data flow diagramming used to solve business problems.
  • Strong project management abilities; capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under time constraints, with timely completion and delivering quality work. 
  • Self-starter, ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations. 
  • Proactive; need to look ahead and anticipate what’s coming. 
  • Intellectual curiosity and problem-solving skills, analytical mindset.
  • Storyteller; good verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally and with the customer.
  • Focus on process improvement, continuously seeking opportunities to increase efficiency.
  • Motivated to stay abreast of industry techniques and tools in the area of business analysis. 
  • Ability to translate technical concepts as appropriate to the level of the audience.
  • Ability to synthesize data and identify and diagnose errors/issues independently
  • Ability to work self-directed and as part of a team on projects of varying size; work well on multi-functional project teams and shows commitment to tasks, project and to team

 

Compensation Range, Currency USD: Starting Pay Range: $80,500 - Pay Range End: $137,000
