SUMMARY

Shapes and drives key communications activities and ensures organizational messages are creatively refined and successfully communicated to stakeholders. Partners with leadership to drive key aspects of the business, including executive messaging, corporate social responsibility, creative storytelling, oversight of integrated campaign plans, and other general comms-related activities. Collaborates with the Internal Comms lead to continuously refine Nintendo of America’s (NOA) internal communications tactics and strategic tools. Works with the Strategic Communications team to help execute other projects and duties as needed.


DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  • Contributes to creative messaging work for Nintendo Brand, product and content messaging campaigns, including ideation and development
  • Crafts original written and visual creative content for various brand experience touchpoints, working with Nintendo editorial across a variety of messaging initiatives both external and internal
  • Creates innovative visual content for executive and other internal communication activities.
  • Develops highly creative narratives that drive innovative copy to craft simple, powerful, and compelling stories
  • Works cross-departmentally, helping balance the needs of stakeholders and ensuring consistency with Nintendo’s philosophy, acting as a point of contact and liaison for Strategic Communications with other departments on assigned initiatives
  • Partners with the Internal Comms Lead to create and edit internal communications messaging, including engagement with the internal company website and other internal messaging tools
  • Liaises with interdepartmental leads to design, coordinate and execute internal communications tactics, including deployment of new tools and processes that help drive employee engagement
  • Creates key messages and Q&As across the team for multiple events, consumer initiatives, and other messaging activities
  • Works with external PR agencies to develop consistent tone and voice for Nintendo’s creative processes and storytelling plans
  • Drafts written materials produced by PR agency including PR plans, fact sheets, reports, and press releases
  • Co-develops thought leadership reports based on key trends, media activities, and academic studies


SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of five years content creation and digital production experience
  • Advanced creative writing and editorial abilities
  • Strong understanding of and experience with Adobe Creative design tools
  • Robust ability and experience managing and executing cross-departmental projects
  • Proficient PC skills (Microsoft Office required, with high proficiency with presentation design software)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, and Stream
  • Knowledge of video game industry preferred
  • Undergraduate B.A. in communications, marketing degree or related field or equivalent
