Under the direction of the Environmental Manager, the Environmental Specialist conducts required environmental tests, analysis, and observations. Evaluates results and makes recommendations as necessary for maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities
- Support Environmental Manager to ensure compliance and maintain regulatory records for SPCC, SWPPP, Title V, PCMACT and other environmental regulatory requirements
- Interface independently with environmental inspectors and key plant management, as required by Environmental Manager. Requires ability to handle follow up actions from compliance inspections
- Ability to independently recognize, analyze, and create reports by applying mathematical and physical science principles, concepts, and techniques
- Ability to independently conduct inspections and implement compliance programs at multiple locations
- Must comply with company safety rules and regulations
- Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related industry
- Bachelors Degree
- Bachelor of Science Degree in related field
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 2-4 years of experience in the field; 5 years preferred
Working Conditions
- Normal office environment
- Plant Environment
- Some travel required
Physical Requirements
- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
- Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs
- Ability to climb stairs

The expected base compensation for this position ranges from $66.600.00 to $79.800.00 depending on, but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skill sets, experience, and education
