Software HR Operations Project Manager

Work Arrangement:
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren (MI) or Mountain View (CA) office three times per week, at minimum.
As a member of the Software HR Operations team, you will deliver and continuously improve HR solutions that drive business outcomes. Key to success in this position will be the ability to lead projects and initiatives, analyze data and provide recommendations based on insights, comfortably navigate HR technology and systems, and maintain strong communication with HR Business Partners.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead HR projects and initiatives, including BAU activities such as Workplace of Choice (WoC), performance management processes, talent identification, and compensation planning
- Collaborate with Software HR leaders and stakeholders to identify project or program needs and objectives. Coordinate program implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables. Partner with HRBPs and CoEs to ensure program alignment with organizational goals
- Frequent interaction with S&S senior executives in the course of regular work, including but not limited to special projects across S&S HR which may be sensitive or confidential in nature, collaborating with business planners, Chiefs of staff and leadership teams to help deliver HR OKRs
- Leverage reporting technology to collect, analyze, and interpret data in partnership with the People Analytics team to identify trends, patterns, and insights to improve HR processes
- Generate HR reports and analytics using HR technology platforms, including Workday, to provide insights on HR metrics in support of data-driven decision making. Conduct audits related to HR data and processes
- Partner with HRBPs and CoE partners to identify opportunities to streamline HR processes, develop recommendations for process improvements, and implement changes
- Prioritize and support practices that enhance the organization’s diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Operate with unwavering integrity, ensuring compliance with GM’s code of conduct, policies, and practices
Additional Job Description
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related discipline or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of related experience in HR, program management or strategy functions
- Data-driven mindset with proven strength in analyzing and interpreting large data sets; and meticulous attention to detail to your work product
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with others, from senior execs to peers
- Experience with HR operational processes and operating systems
- Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office and HR systems (Workday preferred)
- Ability to identify and analyze HR problems, craft data-driven recommendations, and support implementation in the Software HR team
- Ability to communicate HR data and insights effectively and confidently to stakeholders, HRBPs and HR leaders (verbal and written)
- Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Commitment to continuous learning and development. Eager to stay up to date on emerging trends and best practices
Compensation:
- The expected base compensation for this role is $98,000 - $158,00 USD Annually.
- Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
