Software Engineer II
Konami Gaming is looking for a Software Engineer II to join our team!
The Software Engineer II is responsible for researching, designing and developing games.
This includes working on a team project with engineers, designers, and artists to create new game content.
This includes working on team projects or completing new protocols and/or game platforms.
This position also requires the flexibility to act autonomously at all times while adhering to overall department and company policies and procedures.
What you'll be doing:
- Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Formulates and designs software system, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
- Analyzes new technologies and leads in technical vision of new projects or product lines.Codes, documents, tests, and continues gaining knowledge in creating programs on game projects.
- Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware.
- Collaborates with teams of engineers, designers, artists, and others as necessary to ensure quality and market criteria.
- Reports to senior manager any discrepancies or problems requiring resolution.
- Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Provides proper documentation code or other pertinent information in order to create, maintain, or update software manuals.
- Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
- Complies with the company’s regulatory guidelines and corporate policies at all times.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding the company, products and employee information.

Qualifications
What we'll want you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree (BSCS, BSEE, or BSCE) from four-year college or university (or higher degree), or equivalent education and experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum three years related experience and/or training, gaming industry experience Linux and C, C++ proficiency; GUI, SAS, SDS or other related experience preferred. Masters with a minimum of three years’ experience.
- Intermediate and above level understanding and usage of Microsoft Office products. Must be able to communicate professionally and efficiently (verbal and written) with all levels of the business. Must be able to obtain and retain gaming licensure.
Work Environment:
- Full time / 40 + Hours per week. Must be flexible for overtime, including evenings, weekends and Holidays as required.
- Must be comfortable working in a cubicle with limited working space for long hours with the ability to remain seated at the computer terminal for extended periods. Extreme repetitive motion using keyboard, mouse and telephone. Position can be high stress and extremely fast paced. Ability to handle directive, assess situations, enter into dialogue and complete tasks. Must be able to communicate verbally and write in English.
- Position shall work primarily in an office environment. Position shall maintain a cubicle in close proximity of other cubicles and offices.
