Social Media Strategist

Remote

We’re on the hunt for a social media strategist, someone passionate about beauty, content creation and digital storytelling. This position will report to our Associate Director, Social Media and is a remote position. Position will manage the Social Media Coordinator who is responsible for community management and assisting Social Media Marketing initiatives.


As the Social Media Strategist you will be responsible for leading the development, planning, and execution of social media marketing campaigns. As a key strategic lead, you will ensure that all social support of marketing campaigns and initiatives delivers on Living Proof’s overarching strategy and KPI’s.


The right candidate lives and breathe social media both at work and in their personal life. You are always ahead of what’s next and trends within social and digital and have a deep-seated passion for social media.


You love good content. You have a strong sense of voice and copy, and can partner with a designer to visually bring your ideas to life. You can be scrappy and clever when needed and driven to excel always.


You should also have a strong creative eye for beauty. Candidates should be able to take an idea from conception to execution, engaging key partners and resources along the way to help achieve goals.


You must be comfortable working within a high-growth environment, and be familiar with all elements of the below outlined responsibilities, so as to be able to jump into the role immediately and become fully immersed with the team.


Responsibilities

  • Champion ownable, best-in-class social strategy for Living Proof to drive brand awareness, engagement and advocacy via priority channels such as Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
  • Bring forth out of the box concepts and ideas focusing on areas of opportunity across social platforms
  • Manage any third party creative agencies to help implement social campaigns
  • Create engaging pieces of content for both organic and paid media, including photo and video shoots as well as partnering with Influencer Manager to ideate and collaborate on paid partner content
  • Lead daily channel operation and strategy
  • Manage and inspire others on the team to help articulate and execute the social strategy across platforms
  • Be a strategic thought partner and collaborate with the cross-functional teams to create and drive social media projects
  • Serve as a thought leader in Social Media and share best practices, general guidance and the implications of platform updates with broader teams
  • Utilize analytics platforms and survey competitive landscape to share insights and trends in real-time.
  • Deliver on social media needs for our retail partners and proactively pitch content partnership ideas
  • Manage customer service team on community management, striving to provide quick solutions and to surprise and delight our customers


Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in social media marketing, community management or other relevant fields required
  • Completion of BS/BA degree preferred
  • Passion for beauty industry and strong interest in the digital beauty landscape
  • Creative, innovative personality that is always thinking outside of the box
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest etc.
  • Extensive experience with Social Media Management Systems and Social Listening/Analytics tools. (e.g. Dash Hudson, Creator IQ, Tribe Dynamics)
  • Experience working across digital media and creative: drawing connections between the brand identity and marketing objectives to inform differentiated and effective new media programs that engage customers, increase awareness and spark advocacy
  • Creative eye for beauty content
  • Experience with community management, customer service, and social engagement
  • Exceptional writing skills with strong attention to detail, grammar, brand tone, and voice.
  • Strong analytical skills for measuring/tracking success and KPIs
  • Ability to manage up and communicate effectively on projects
  • Capable and driven to quickly learn new technologies and continually upgrade current skill set
  • Flexible and positive attitude; able to work independently and within teams
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities
  • Excellent organizational skills with a very high attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic, cheerful, dedicated team
