Social Media Specialist

Responsibilities 

The Social Media Specialist II develops and implements internet marketing strategies to optimize the online user experience, increase marketing effectiveness and improve customer satisfaction. Responsible for the planning and execution of all social media strategy on behalf of the Hoosier Lottery.

  • Handle day-to-day community engagement and communications.
  • Provide input and support in crafting brand enhancing campaigns and programs to achieve specific business objectives and brand affinity goals.
  • Manage multiple monthly sweepstakes and contests, including scheduling, player entry tracking, winner selection, and prize fulfillment.
  • Create social outputs with internal content resources, product team, field promotions, advertising, interactive, and sales teams.
  • Manage paid media strategy and support with the Hoosier Lottery's current media buying agency.
  • Define and own reporting metrics and KPIs for the Hoosier Lottery's social channels; preparing weekly and monthly reports for senior staff members and the Hoosier Lottery.
  • Responsible for review and management of creative agency's social media campaign assets.
  • Responsible for social listening, communicating player chatter, and media trends to the wider teams as applicable.
  • Monitor activity across all channels and address issues as needed during and occasionally outside of traditional business hours. This includes, but is not limited to, issues with Livestream drawing on Facebook, high-rolling jackpots, and large wins by Hoosier Lottery players.
  • Analyze social stats using data management platforms to advise strategy behind paid social material and content direction.
  • Work with all internal collaborators to develop, maintain, and communicate social media calendar.
  • Operate within Hoosier Lottery guidelines including, but not limited to, Hoosier Lottery's Marketing Code of Conduct and Responsible Gaming guidelines while implementing social programs, promotions, and giveaways.
  • Provide social support for Hoosier Lottery's field Promotions team as needed Provide support for field events on occasion.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent years of successful work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital or social media required.


Experience with Social Media management platforms (Falcon, Sprout, Hootsuite, etc.).

  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop required.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule with a mixture of remote and in-office work.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary.


The estimated starting compensation range is $37,500 - $115,500.


The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable. 

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses . In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
