Social Media Specialist

This position is a hybrid role requiring employees to work from our headquarters location in Seattle, WA every Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote all other days.As a Social Media Specialist at Redfin, you’ll be the creative force behind our organic TikTok content. You’ll use your creativity to plan, produce, film, and edit TikTok content to support Redfin's mission and business goals You’ll help identify our tone of voice on TikTok to showcase our brand’s personality while driving results. You’ll work closely with the rest of our Social team as well as creative partners within Brand Design, Video Production, and Content Strategy.

We’re looking for someone highly organized with impressive creative chops, video production  skills, and a deep understanding of TikTok.

This role reports to the Head of Copy & Content Strategy. 

What you’ll do:

• Content strategy and planning: Deliver engaging TikTok video concepts, scripts, and shot lists. Assist in planning  a monthly content calendar.
• Video production: Film and edit 3-4 TikToks per week that maintain brand standards. Demonstrate technical proficiency in video editing software and sound mixing.
• Be our TikTok expert: Provide guidance on TikTok-specific video requirements, content trends, product updates, growth strategies, and propose strategic shifts as needed
• Project management: Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of video projects, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and timelines.
• Community management: Engage with followers and relevant content, as needed.

Who you are: 

• You have 2+ years of social media and content creation experience for a brand
• You’re TikTok obsessed! You are constantly tracking content trends and what drives engagement.
• You have expertise with current and emerging social media channels, with a special emphasis on TikTok
• You have experience using Adobe products to edit and produce videos from start to finish for a brand
• You have strong creative and storytelling skills, with an eye for aesthetics and attention to detail
• You have strong organizational and time-management skills
• You have experience working independently, collaborating with a team, and  are an excellent communicator
• You have familiarity with project tracking  and social media management tools
• Experience acting as on-screen talent preferred, but not required
• Interest in real estate and the housing market preferred
• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience required
