Social Media Specialist

Inglewood, CA

SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park is seeking a Social Media Specialist that will assist in the launching, development and cultivation of the Hollywood park family of brands. This role will focus on building the brand and supporting the marketing and sales of experiences and customer touch points. Additionally, this role will assist with the building and cultivating a community through social media from the ground up. 


The ideal candidate is passionate about building something new, is customer (guest) centric, loves exploring best practices, is proactive, is comfortable living in ambiguity and uncertainty, and is social content expert who has the ability to construct and maintain a creative/authoritative voice for the brand. Because SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park has a Fan First mentality, this role will look at all things through the lens of the fan and guest. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in concept creation and program implementation as directed
  • Manage day-to-day tasks across all platforms
  • Develop and assist with the management and cultivation of communities with content across Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitch and other platforms
  • Coordinate with Promoter on content postings for events 
  • Manage social media calendar and execute against key dates and events
  • Work with Content Manager and Creative Service depts. on visuals
  • Develop, track and evaluate KPI
  • Develop best practices
  • Research and report social media trends 
  • Manage ad space, content, frequency and reporting
  • Optimize marketing automation tools for reaching current and new audiences
  • Produce short video content, create memes, graphics and digital assets across all digital channels to drive engagement
  • Assist with other departmental research
  • Ability to supervise filming crews on-site

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in digital marketing and or social media 
  • Prior experience with a sports property, venue, retail shopping location, or destination
  • Understanding of data privacy legislation, including GDPR, CASL, and changing data privacy landscape 
  • Experience working with a CRM system, lead generation and nurturing, marketing automation, email marketing, basic HTML editing, landing page development, forms, and campaign reporting
  • Proficiency with basic HTML/CSS 
  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally 
  • Strong copy writing skills required 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage numerous projects simultaneously 
  • Must possess strong organizational skills, be self-motivated and creative 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from across multiple business areas 
  • Strong attention to detail required 
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends as required
