Social Media Specialist

Baltimore, MD

We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Social Media Specialist to join our growing Global Content + Media team! This role is responsible for executing always-on channel programming, copywriting, publishing, community management and reporting for channels supporting the Women's and Men's Train audiences across our global social channels. They also support original content development and digital activations for our broader Train audience.


About You

You have a strong POV on TikTok versus Reels and were listening to Clubhouse before it was cool. Juggling a million and one projects and creating status spreadsheets to keep the team on track comes second nature to you. You live and breathe fitness and sports IRL and across social media. You understand the evolving digital fitness landscape because you’ve experienced it first-hand. You know what a “burpee” and a “snatch” are. You’re self-driven, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are always looking for ways to grow and push yourself and those around you.


Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Deep understanding of the social media and digital landscape, fitness trends, and online consumer behavior.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven multi-tasking ability and strong project management skills.
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced environment with an openness to change.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • ​​​​Manage editorial calendars across platforms (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest).
  • Write original social copy for our Women’s and Men’s training audiences for organic and paid social content.
  • Publish content to owned channels and monitor community comments, messages, and engagements using our publishing tool, Sprinklr.
  • Support original content and series development and shoots, including longform video content for YouTube and IGTV as well as branded podcasts.
  • Support regular reporting to track content performance against defined KPIs and implement learnings to optimize content.
  • Support seeding efforts with brand ambassadors.
  • Support seasonal product marketing content strategies.
  • Leverage social listening tools to monitor and respond to conversations on owned channels and around relevant brand and category topics.
  • Support regular reporting cadence to track content performance against defined KPIs and implement learnings to optimize content.
  • Assist in the development of seasonal category content strategies that are rooted in a deep understanding of target consumer and their media behaviors. 
  • Participate in tactical ideation and execution for digital and social activations.


Education And / Or Experience

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in social media community management, content development and copywriting (agency or client side).
  • Experience with social media publishing and listening platform (e.g. Sprinklr or similar).
