Responsibilities

News 12 is looking for a hard working & creative social media producer to help us grow our audience on social media. This will include cutting clips from News 12 Networks to post on social platforms, interacting with the audience on social and owning a variety of platforms. The ideal candidate is a team player who has an in-depth knowledge of what works on social media and building audience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and publish content across social media platforms before, during and after our live shows
• Interact with fans and viewers on our social media platforms to encourage conversations
• Clip videos from our live programming for distribution on social platforms
• Think strategically about ways to reach our target audience and be able to implement new strategies 
• Break news, use urgency and work with talent on distributing content on all platforms

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• At least two (2) years of strong and demonstrated experience in social media
• Understanding of social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok
• Ability to collaborate with a team while also being an individual contributor and self-starter
• Passion for journalism and the news
