Social Media Manager

South Portland, ME

The Social Media Manager is a dynamic and creative person who can navigate the advertising world of CBD. This position manages all social media platforms, including but not limited to: Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and Instagram. This role oversees and administers all aspects of running our social channels: creation and scheduling of posts, managing the social content calendar, working with influencers and social media partners (internally and externally), and cross collaborates with the existing marketing and ecommerce teams. The ideal candidate is an independent thinker who is not afraid to express their creative ideas, wants to join a collaborative and growing team, and is excited to help support pets and pet parents globally. 


This position is full time in our South Portland, ME office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned). 

  • Lead the company’s interactions with the public through social media platforms, using a unified voice by devising and implementing content strategies and collecting engagement data.
  • Plan and develop social media campaigns defining KPIs and ROIs for each engagement. 
  • Leverage monitoring tools for insights and alignment with company goals, while following social media trends to engage the company’s followers.
  • Establish and supports relationships with social media influencers to drive engagement and brand awareness. 
  • Communicate effectively to all stakeholders, including leadership and content developers.
  • Work closely with marketing, ecommerce, customer service, sales, and other departments to ensure success. 

 

COMPETENCIES, SKILLS & ABILITIES 

  • Demonstrated relationship building, particularly with customers. 
  • Communicate clearly and concisely as creative content.
  • Proven attentiveness to detail, coupled with experience in web design.
  • Time management and organization skills, including the ability to plan and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office, Adobe, Photoshop, etc.) 


QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience in marketing, required. 
  • 3+ years in social media management role, required. 
  • Experience in animal health, advertising agencies, or CBD, a plus.

  • Normal office environment with regular computer use.
