Social Media Manager & Content Creator

Tecovas is looking for a Social Media Manager to own our industry-leading social media strategy. Reporting directly to the Director of Brand Strategy, you will leverage your entrepreneurial spirit to develop and execute cutting-edge strategies to support a vibrant community on all of our owned social media channels - including Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, Facebook, and others. You will manage the moderation of comments and DMs with support from the CX team and always optimize for your North Star metric - a strong engagement rate!

This role is required to be based in Austin, TX. Candidates must either be currently located in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX.

What you’ll do:

Plan, shoot, and edit social-first content, including content featuring yourself and other members of the Tecovas team.
Develop and maintain a content calendar and social strategy that supports key brand initiatives and business objectives.
Partner with our creative and content teams, customers, and outside partners to source and generate engaging content.
Own all scheduling and posting of content across multiple social accounts.
Work with influencer marketing team to identify new partners and maximize our strategy
Collaborate with the Customer Experience team in order to maintain a fast response rate on all social comments, reviews, tags, and direct messages.
Create and distribute weekly performance reports as well as more in-depth monthly/quarterly lookbacks that capture shifts in audience sentiment and social performance.
Stay up-to-date with social media strategy through competitor research, platform exploration, and performance analytics.
Identify, develop, and manage new social platforms and opportunities to support brand and business objectives.
Identify opportunities for cross-promotion and help execute partnership terms and criteria for marketing.
Support brand collaborations, retail events, and marketing activations as they align with the social media strategy.
Support general PR/Influencer efforts.

Experience we’re looking for:

Proven experience growing a strong community through social media.
Experience creating compelling short form and long form video content on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
A genuine interest in existing and emerging social media channels and trends.
Comfortable managing a high volume of DMs and comments in an engaging manner.
Bonus points if you love cowboy boots and are excited to shape modern western culture.
