Social Media Manager

prettySOCIAL, a leading social media agency in the Beauty & Wellness vertical, is hiring an ambitious and talented Social Media Manager with experience in digital marketing, social media management and content creation to manage select beauty and wellness client accounts. We are looking for a seasoned, creative, hands-on Social Media Manager to drive innovation across our client social channels. This role is ideal for someone who is equal parts analytical and creative, with a passion for disrupting categories and creating innovative social media strategies.


The Social Media Manager will be responsible for:

  • Creating a content calendar, creating and curating social media content, daily posting, monitoring, and engaging with our clientele’s community directly from their social channels
  • Developing innovative social media strategies and creative briefs for prettySOCIAL clientele with a social-first mindset
  • Collaborating with the prettySOCIAL creative team to develop compelling content that brings the social team’s strategies and creative briefs to life
  • Producing a variety social-first content for client social channels: Instagram Reels, TikTok videos, graphics, memes, stories, and more, meeting and ideally surpassing the number of established client deliverables
  • Keeping a pulse on culture, trending social media moments, and client verticals to produce timely social media content
  • Writing copy for social media posts
  • Leading partnerships with complementary brands for co-branded social content, giveaways, and initiatives
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline social media content production and leverage tools to diversify our creative assets
  • Make recommendations to strategy/tactics to constantly improve content performance
  • Own and optimize all aspects of client social accounts, including but not limited to establishing Instagram shopping, manual product tags, creating guides, organizing Instagram highlights, applying for account verification, and manually refreshing content on social shopping platforms
  • Responding to all comments and DMs on all platforms within established response-rate parameters, escalating sensitive questions/comments/issues to client teams as needed
  • Facilitate campaigns with brand influencers as established in client deliverables

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of scaling brands through successful social media storytelling
  • Technically fluent in social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook Business Manager
  • Fluent across a variety of content types: video, animation, graphics, stills, tutorials, transitions, UGC, audio, and beyond
  • Extensive experience with Social Media Management systems and analytics tools
  • Exceptional writing skills with strong attention to detail, grammar, brand tone, and voice.
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple clients, meet deadlines, and work flexibility around key social media timelines (e.g., client launch periods, weekend events, etc.)
  • Confidence in communicating and presenting, including the ability to lead client calls and interpret social insights and data
  • Passion for the beauty and wellness space and an enthusiasm for the intersection of media, entertainment, and culture
  • Sense of ownership and pride in the success of our agency and our clients
