Social Media Manager
We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and creative Social Media Manager with experience developing exciting and innovative content around relevant issues. The Social Media Manager will implement FCAS’ social media strategy for its “[together beat hate]” social media channels and future projects around Jewish culture, antisemitism, and other forms of hate. They will build and sustain an engaged audience through creative content, utilizing graphics, video, photography, and other dynamic tools. The role will also work to develop, design, and create written and visual content across FCAS and TBH’s digital footprint.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create dynamic social media content for FCAS, [tbh] and associated brands designed to appeal to a variety of defined target audiences.
- Manage social media channels and community, to include paid content, content calendaring and audience engagement.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to promote key projects and initiatives through social media channels.
- Manage efforts to grow audience and engagement across all social media channels.
- Collaborate with FCAS team members to conceptualize and produce engaging content for digital channels.
- Develop, track, and report on metrics for social media channels and regularly review results to impact future content planning and development.
- Coordinate the production and usage of video and dynamic content across social media channels.
- Develop written communications, including for social media, landing pages, websites, blogs, and email.
- Engage with key partners and vendors to coordinate social media projects and initiatives.
- Train, support, and mentor interns.
- Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
- Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising, journalism, public relations, or related discipline, or commensurate experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of related Social Media or Communications experience
- Experience managing social media channels for corporate or non-profit initiatives, including the use of social media management tools such as Hootsuite.
- Strong understanding of social media landscape, particularly among millennial and Gen Z users, and demonstrated ability to adapt storytelling accordingly.
- Experience in budgeting and managing paid social media advertising accounts.
- Understanding of historical and current topics related to antisemitism, Jewish identity, and Israel is required. Background in storytelling for causes, nonprofits, global issues, societal problems related to bigotry, prejudice, and/or hatred is a plus.
- Experience in graphic design, photography and videography is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Extremely organized and proactive with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced team environment.
