Social Media Manager

Remote Boston, MA

The Corporate Social Media Manager will be responsible for working with marketing teams across the organization to develop and support corporate social media strategies to build audiences and further marketing and brand initiatives. The Social Media Manager will be expected to create content and publish to EngageSmart and EngageSmart solution channels, build online communities, and provide insights and analytics that will fine-tune future strategy, content, and audience-building work.


The Social Media Manager, will: 

  • Manage and execute social media projects with marketing and agency teams, develop and manage social media content calendar.
  • Provide guidance and expertise on audience engagement for social media campaigns.
  • Collaborate with broader marketing and content team on channel-specific strategy.
  • Align content themes and assets to target audiences' needs, infusing EngageSmart’s brand voice and tone.
  • Provide real-time feedback on audience perception of campaigns to fine-tune messaging and inform future campaigns.
  • Utilize Social Listening tool to monitor performance against competitors and develop social listening reports.
  • Create social copy for both brand and individuals
  • Help to define, implement, and manage project governance rigor and routines including defining steering and operating committees, scheduling regular meetings and routines, developing status reports
  • Craft, execute, analyze our social marketing strategy.
  • Manage employee advocacy campaigns (through EveryoneSocial)
  • Interact with executives (local and corporate) to ensure strategy and positioning is appropriate, timely and consistent with overall strategy.
  • Educate other departments, such as Human Resources and Sales, on how social media can be brought to bear to support their goals.
  • Engage as community manager - facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to inquiries

Expectations

  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in communications, journalism, public relations, or marketing preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in social media strategy (inclusive of Employee Advocacy campaigns)
  • Experience with social networking and analytics tools (i.e., Hootsuite, Everyone Social, Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Sprinklr, etc.)
  • Experience with graphic design tools, ability to create and/or edit basic graphics
  • Ability to coordinate and influence across teams
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and editorial judgement.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to be a change agent
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Deep knowledge of best practices in digital and social media.
  • Keen sense of what makes social media and digital media effective and powerful
  • Ability to assess appropriateness of social content within the company’s brand and social media voice
  • Fluent understanding of media platforms and the varied best practices for each
  • Strategic and creative thinker that can create tightly integrated social media plans.
  • Understanding and creation of KPI-driven social media campaigns
