Social Media Manager

Recorded Future is looking for a news- and content-obsessed social media expert to join the rapidly-growing Brand Experience & Strategy team. This role presents a completely unique opportunity to expand the social strategy and visibility for the fastest growing intelligence brand on the planet.


In this role you will be expected to:

  • The right candidate will create and execute social media programming that builds awareness of and organic engagement around our brand’s core strengths and capabilities, including our editorial news reporting and intelligence/research, and our flagship intelligence events (virtual and in-person). Social media is a core component of Recorded Future’s growth strategy and this individual will play a key role in shaping and executing that strategy for the long-term. 
  • Create and execute social media programs across the Recorded Future brand portfolio (including, but not limited to, The Record by Recorded Future, the Click Here podcastInsikt Group Research, etc.) that ensure compelling community engagement and grow our organic presence across social platforms.
  • Support the full lifecycle of promotion for flagship company-level events, driving interest and registrations among key audiences, launching and managing livestreams, and distributing content during and post events.
  • Build familiarity with a wide range of topics across the intelligence, cybersecurity and related fields in support of developing high-quality social media copy and content. 
  • Act as a representative of Recorded Future across social media for the intelligence, cybersecurity and related fields to drive ongoing,community-building engagement; this includes but is not limited to recognizing when to respond to questions, which news is material to our brand’s positioning, etc.
  • Create engaging social content, including cards, animations, videos and more. Collaborate with creative partners and vendors on the creation of assets to support campaign execution.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functions partners within the marketing team and beyond, including but not limited to global communications, editorial/news, field and product marketing, executive leadership and operations teams.
  • Build and maintain social media metrics dashboard and reports based upon social reach, engagement and other key performance indicators. 
  • Act as a subject matter expert and consultant for internal teams seeking to amplify our larger social media efforts across the portfolio. 


What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 6+ years of experience in a social media management and/or community role; experience working with cybersecurity, editorial/news, technology and/or enterprise (SaaS) companies strongly preferred.
  • Collaborative and self-starting attitude; enterprising mindset and an ability to learn new tools and skills to advance the team’s impact.
  • Strong communicator and writer with exceptional project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong fluency with social marketing platforms (including LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook), as well as enterprise social tools (e.g., G-Suite, PostBeyond) to manage workflow.
