Social Media Intern

Remote Las Vegas, NV

The internship will allow the student to learn how to take skills acquired in school related to his or her areas of interest and apply them across the organization resulting in an increased understanding of the marketing and advertising industry. The intern will develop professional skills such as project oversight, time management, communication skills, and customer service.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Essential Functions

  • Assist in day-to-day operations and management client social media accounts
  • Assist in community management
  • Assist in calendaring, planning, and scheduling content
  • Assist in content creation on and off site
  • Help brainstorm creative, engaging content for all major social media platforms
  • Assist with monitoring the social media channels and activities
  • Assist on ad hoc project requests
  • Assist with deck building and presentations
  • Support the Social Media Department on priority projects


Other Responsibilities

  • Depending on office location or business needs, some travel may be required.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned. 



  • Learn about work process and cycles
  • Participate in department and company meetings where possible
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) in daily tasks.
  • Effectively prioritize and execute while multi-tasking in an occasional high-pressure environment.
  • Recognize and communicate appropriate urgency and impact of work.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and effectively work both individually and in a team.
  • Understands and abides by the agency’s business practices, core values, philosophies, policies and procedures.

  • Prepare for and utilize learning opportunities such as training, meetings, or conferences offered by the company.
  • Complete work assignments In a thorough, consistent and punctual manner.


Minimum Qualifications

  • College senior who would like to work in social media post graduation – keen on finding potential candidates for a future coordinator position
  • Educational background in creative writing, literature, English a plus

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers and filing cabinets.
