ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Social Media + Community Coordinator will support the Marketing team, helping to bring our brand to life across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. You’re obsessed with your FYP, have an album dedicated to memes and are on top of all the trends. You are a social media aficionado, a huge Barb “fan”, and the life of your community. You have a foundational understanding of content creation and general marketing principles. You are a resourceful self-starter ready to jump into a small company with ambitious growth goals. You are excited about the opportunity to help grow a brand from the ground up.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the social strategy across social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
  • Maintain and update company’s LinkedIn page
  • Create and manage the social media content calendar, social copywriting, UGC integration and content scheduling 
  • Conceptualize and execute innovative ideas for social channels, optimizing based on social and competitive trends
  • Create new video content, reels, stories, and organic brand content inclusive of graphics and video
  • Track and analyze performance of our social content, sharing insights with our internal teams
  • Collaborate with the rest of the marketing team on creation of content and campaigns to drive growth, reach, and engagement
  • Respond to social media customer inquiries and messages
  • Manage and respond to all customer service inquiries 
  • Cultivate influencer relationships
  • Plan and lead community engagement and community building initiatives
  • Maintain and update photo and media libraries on internal and external systems


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Social Media marketing
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • You have a deep understanding of the social media landscape, trends and platforms
  • Impeccable writing skills with an awareness of pop-culture and trending topics
  • The ability to act fast and in real-time
  • A hands-on self starter with strong organizational skills who is comfortable with fast turnarounds and tight timelines
  • Someone who can lead by example and demonstrate Barb’s core values
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills

SALARY 

  • This is a full-time role with remote work options
  • $60,000 - $70,000 annual salary
