Social Media and Community Manager

We are searching for a dynamic, results-oriented Social Media and Community Manager who has experience in the tech sector and is passionate about Intel’s position as the product and technology leader foundational to the next era of computing.


The role will build on our Tech Leadership Social and Influencer group targeting thought leaders in consumer, academic, and business spaces, and will be the key touch point when engaging with customers, partners, employees, and enthusiasts through the @IntelTech social handles.

The Social Media and Community Manager should have deep understanding of how to engage and interact with the tech community through indirect digital approaches, especially across Twitter, YouTube, Reddit, Discord, and similar platforms.


A candidate responsibilities may include:

  • Managing a content calendar for @IntelTech on Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn
  • Driving a daily social posting schedule
  • Proactively engaging with the tech community by responding and providing monitoring reports
  • Supporting online enthusiast engagement strategy for Intel across traditional and non-traditional engagement across varies platforms
  • Supporting client computing enthusiast community that would include gamers, over clockers and content creators
  • Partnering closely with key internal teams that span client computing, gaming and developer relations to create and execute on a cross-functional plan for enthusiast engagement in support of Intel products and technologies.
  • Bridging online community efforts into real life activities at events like PDXLAN, LanFest, Dream hack, etc


A successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Individual must have direct experience in this community and preferably is an active participant in it.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the PC, server, and component ecosystems Intel is part of
  • Extensive digital marketing experience, 3+ in social media marketing
  • Proven track record of collaboration across the industry to drive results
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to influence others and lead cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Business, Marketing or related Technical field.
  • 3+ years working experience in this field  in Sales, Marketing or Technical Role


Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA preferred
