Social Media Analyst

The Variable is looking for a rad human being who is seeking their next data and analytics challenge in the digital space. Our ideal candidate has 5+ years of dedicated social experience and is excited to lead an innovative agency’s social measurement and insights capabilities. You will define our tech toolkit, approach, and processes for social. This includes social listening, social program measurement, organic channel health and discovering category/brand insights during strategic development. 

You will collaborate with social and brand strategists, business leadership, media and other analysts to define how we identify and share measurable insights for our clients and conduct regular reporting.


We are looking for a person who is insight-minded, enjoys seeking patterns and thinking critically about social platforms’ consistently changing metrics and algorithms. You are a strong collaborator and communicator, and have managed reporting across paid campaigns, organic channels/content and digital activations.


YOU MUST
  • Be able to build standards and processes for social measurement
  • Collaborate with strategic leads on selecting meaningful KPIs for digital and social programs
  • Design and manage custom reports for clients
  • Be able to compile reports independently as well as co-build with other analysts
  • Be well-versed in all social platform metrics and nuances, and a rapid learner as they evolve
  • Be able to help visualize data for impact and storytelling
  • Be a strong presenter and confidence-inspiring team member
  • Be able to simplify insights for internal and external stakeholders
  • Be well versed in both quantitative and qualitative analysis


YOU HAVE
  • Experience using multiple Social Listening Tools (eg. Brandwatch, Crimson Hexagon, Netbase, etc)
  • Experience using multiple Social Channel Analytic Tools (eg. Sprout, Later, SimplyMeasured, Sprinklr, etc)
  • Experience using data visualization tools (eg. Tableau, Adobe, Power BI)
  • Have in-depth knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube with an aptitude for emerging social platforms
  • Have 5+ years of social or digital experience, preferably in strategy, media or analytics roles
