Social Impact Programs Manager

Remote Milton, DE

We are currently hiring a Social Impact Programs Manager, Hybrid* in Milton, DE.


The Social Impact Program Manager is a core member of the Social Impact Team responsible for the strategy and execution of Boston Beer’s philanthropy, cause-marketing and community engagement initiatives. Social Impact works with our Brand and Local Brewery teams on our core philanthropic programs including the Samuel Adams Brewing The American Dream (BTAD) and Dogfish Head Beer & Benevolence programs.


The team also manages in-kind community donations and the Boston Beer coworker volunteering program. The coworker will support the overall plans for civic engagement and enterprise-wide social impact work that help to reinforce BBC’s commitment to our co-workers, drinkers and communities.


A Hybrid position at Boston Beer requires that our coworkers reside within commuting distance to be onsite according to their teams’ weekly schedule. 


What You'll Brew:

  • In partnership with Social Impact team and Dogfish Head Brand leaders develop strategy, goals and tactics for Beer & Benevolence in order to connect the Dogfish Head brand and our taprooms to our communities
  • Responsible for maintaining and developing community partnerships and outreach to support Beer & Benevolence initiatives
  • Responsible for day-to-day execution of programming in partnership with our local taproom teams
  • Oversee day-to-day product (and other in-kind) donations across our Delaware locations and collaborate with the team at SAPB on donation strategy and tracking.
  • Collaborate across the organization with key stakeholders (Inclusion & Belonging, Coworker Networks, local taprooms, etc…) to connect Social Impact with other relevant work happening at BBC.
  • Occasional travel (20%), as well as attendance at evening and weekend events may be required and is at the discretion of your manager based on the needs of your position
  • Maintain database of Benevolence partners/organizations as well as tracking and reporting program impact (and other metrics TBD)
  • Responsible for co-worker engagement, communications, and internal promotion for Beer & Benevolence
  • Assist with the Benevolence Days strategy development and tactical plans to drive awareness and visibility of the program, particularly in Delaware and Pennsylvania
  • Partner with the local marketing team to identify and plan for participation where needed to support the Local Beer Initiative to keep Dogfish Head visible in the local beer scene.
  • Participate with other members of the Social Impact team in the collaboration, execution and management of social impact programming to deliver on total team initiatives
  • Support Coworker Engagement through Social Impact and People & Culture
  • Must be able to manage varying groups of external partners, volunteers and co-workers volunteering in-person or remotely


Working Conditions

  • Standard office environment which includes desk, conference rooms, break rooms, etc.
  • Potential to be in an environment that is complex that necessitates high situational awareness


What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in any of the following areas: corporate philanthropy, cause marketing, branding, event planning, retail/hospitality
  • Proven experience presenting to and communicating with a variety of audiences and stakeholders
  • Previous experience utilizing resources in an independent manner with little to no direct supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize PowerPoint and Excel


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in a related field
  • Experience in the alcohol beverage industry preferred
  • Experience in event planning and execution as well as program and project


Level: 6

In accordance with pay transparency laws the salary range for this role if hired is $61,200 – $109,200 annually based on location and the experience level of the candidate. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance. Certain sales positions are also eligible for car allowance.
