Social and Content Manager

About the Team:  

The Marketing team spans many aspects of the business and includes roles in graphic design, social media, and public relations, to name a few. Since the roles within this department are varied, so are the people—in the best way! This team is laser focused on bringing the brand to life through rich storytelling, and they work together to accomplish this across multiple media and platforms.


Rothy’s is looking for an outstanding Social and Content Manager. Reporting to our Sr. Director of Communications, you will own Rothy’s organic social and content marketing strategy. In this role you will manage and execute an integrated content marketing program across Rothy’s owned channels, including all social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn) and Rothy’s site, email and blog. This role may be based in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY. 


What you’ll do:

  • Bring the Rothy’s brand to life through a best-in-class organic social media strategy across all channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn)
  • Concept, brief and execute brand stories for Rothy’s owned channels (email, site, blog), managing editorial calendar and organizing content in Rothy’s internal system
  • Manage Rothy’s organic video strategy, briefing and executing video-first concepts for YouTube and TikTok in partnership with Creative team
  • Source still and video assets from Rothy’s community to support Rothy’s priority launches, managing relationship with Creative agency
  • Manage Social Coordinator, responsible for managing day-to-day operations and reporting on Rothy’s social channels
  • Track metrics weekly, and share key results and learnings with the wider marketing team once a month with the goal of continuously iterating our strategy based on insights 
  • Support Sr. Director of Communications as needed, including projects beyond what is listed above


You are:

  • A passionate and creative storyteller with ability to layer stories across channels
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage internal stakeholders on deadlines and deliverables
  • A proven strategic thinker with a “how can I help?” attitude
  • Highly visual with an exceptional eye for smart, creative, effective content


You have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Social and Content Marketing
  • Superb command of writing and the English language
  • Rigorous attention to detail and accuracy
  • A passion for Rothy’s and its mission
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • A can-do attitude towards tasks big or small
  • Experience with a social media management tool, such as Sprout Social
  • Experience with Facebook Ads Manager and Commerce a plus 
  • Experience with Google Analytics and UTM link building a plus
  • Experience with Photoshop, video editing, and photography a plus
