Site Reliability Engineer Manager

What You’ll Do

Cisco is always looking to extend its security portfolio and strategy. You'll be leading a team of Site Reliability Engineers in architecting and developing the cloud infrastructure for Cisco’s SecureX platform. You’ll collaborate with other groups to prioritize infrastructure initiatives which best support the product’s goals and drive the execution of projects within the team.


In this role, you’ll also partner with peers to grow our community in our pursuit to leverage best of breed services and leading infrastructure-as-code tools to design, create and scale cloud platforms.

You will be working alongside the application engineering team and support the development of the SecureX product. You’ll be part of a passionate Site Reliability Engineering community that is always striving to improve and learn.


Who You Are

You are a leader who can manage the objectives of a Site Reliability Engineering team. You have experience in working with technical leaders in shaping a dynamic infrastructure. You have some development background coupled with infrastructure automation experience. You love enabling people in building platforms for application developers and customers. You are passionate about improving build and release frameworks and working on advanced orchestration systems in a secure way.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in a DevOps or SRE leadership position
  • 4+ years experience in the administration of enterprise-grade AWS infrastructures
  • Background in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and SaltStack
  • Demonstrable skills in Linux systems administration
  • Proficiency in infrastructure, service and application monitoring tools


Nice to have:

  • Experience in Python or Golang
  • Experience with HashiCorp tools (Nomad/Consul/Vault/Packer)
  • Experience in operating highly available and critical environments
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Amazon EKS
  • Familiarity with Elasticsearch management and monitoring
