Senior Vice President/Vice President, Marketing, Hospitality Cloud

Fairfax, VA

Cvent is seeking a Senior Vice President/Vice President of Marketing to lead all marketing strategy, demand generation, and go-to-market execution for our Hospitality Cloud division globally. We are looking for a proven leader who has led growth agendas in support of $100M+ lines of business and managed organizations with 50+ team members.


The Cvent Hospitality Cloud platform encompasses multiple products that work together to help hoteliers, destinations, and special event venues attract event organizers and win more event business. The Hospitality Cloud is one of two major divisions at Cvent and represents an amazing growth opportunity.


In This Role, You Will:

  • Define a strategy to grow global sales and market share of the Hospitality Cloud
  • Work with a cross-functional team to help package our solutions and define their value proposition to drive demand in the marketplace
  • Work with the Cvent product development team to launch new Hospitality Cloud capabilities and solutions to the marketplace
  • Develop customer marketing strategies designed to increase share of wallet, effectively onboard customers, keep customers trained and engaged, and positively impact renewal rates
  • Collaborate with sales management to execute effective campaigns, improve processes and marketing efficiency
  • Manage the Hospitality Cloud marketing team globally to execute the marketing strategy across initiatives including digital marketing campaigns, content marketing, sales enablement, thought leadership initiatives, ABM, and other related programs
  • Develop and communicate a deep understanding of the audience and buying habits of our core audiences for our solutions
  • Create segmentation strategies and solution-based value propositions
  • Conduct ongoing competitive intelligence and market research on hospitality industry and group business solutions
  • Work with our India marketing team to grow and maintain the Cvent Supplier Network database and web sites


Here's What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 15+ years marketing experience, preferably in B2B or SaaS marketing environment
  • Hospitality industry experience highly preferred
  • Marketing leader who has had a span of control of at least 50 team members
  • Innovative thinker capable of operating both in a strategic capacity and a hands-on/execution capacity
  • Team player who is detail-oriented, organized and self-directed with high integrity and discipline
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Experience and knowledge of online marketing models and strategies is required
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams with strong project management skills
  • Ability to create compelling marketing messages and collateral
  • Proven ability to manage teams and develop talent within the organization
  • Strong track record of lead generation and increasing sales opportunities
  • Experience supporting large sales organizations in a growth environment is preferred
  • Experience with content marketing automation programs, such as Eloqua, Marketo, Silverpop and other enterprise systems like Salesforce.com and Omniture are a plus
  • Experience managing global teams and developing regional specific marketing strategies
  • Experience building customer marketing programs to drive demand inside customers and increase customer renewal rates
