Senior UX Researcher

Los Angeles, CA

We are looking for a hardworking and experienced Senior UX Researcher to work on our Product Design team and partners cross functionally across Product Management, Data, Consumer Insights, etc. As a Senior UX Researcher at Tinder, you will lead end-to-end research initiatives for all groups across both within our team and the broader organization!


What you'll do:

  • Interact directly with the UX Research Manager and UX Research Team, Product Designers, Product Managers, and Consumer Insights Researchers to define research objectives, plan, and implement research plans
  • Function as a project lead and hands-on contributor - conducting primary and secondary user research, using a variety of methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate research topics across all areas of the business
  • Collaborate and communicate in a way that amplifies the voice of our users, and influences product strategy and design
  • Advocate research findings to designers and diverse audiences through written reports and presentations
  • Test design solutions to ensure we’re solving top user needs as we evolve our products


What we're looking for:

  • 4+ years of UX research experience with various methodologies, experience integrating user research findings into product designs and design practices, and experience leading end-to-end research initiatives
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI or Human Behavior related field, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Shown ability to lead, conduct, and socialize UX research including (but not necessarily limited to, usability testing, focus groups, user interviews, user surveys, ethnographic research, persona development, etc.)
  • Proactive, organized, and able to balance multiple projects and their own initiatives. Must be a motivated self-starter and have excellent time-management skills
  • Comfortable performing all research-related tasks including research, planning, evaluating, and iteration
  • A strong desire for creative problem-solving with a positive low ego
  • Strong curiosity about social app products, Gen Z, and associated trends


Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Figma, Sketch, Principle, and other design & prototyping platforms
  • Experience using data analytics tools
  • Experience mentoring interns and associates
