Senior Technology Analyst

Jefferson City, MO

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technology Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating information technology web services.

As the primary liaison between users and engineering/development staff, you will play a crucial role in identifying system needs, recommending improvements, and translating business requirements into technical specifications. Here's what you'll be doing: 

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate information technology web services to determine user needs and requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between users and engineering/development staff, identifying, documenting, and tracking system issues.
  • Design high-level architectural diagrams and collaborate with team architects to document project workflows for developers and business teams.
  • Provide expertise in identifying and developing low-level design solutions, including process flows, sequence diagrams, error handling, and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with architecture, development, and testing teams to analyze system problems and define requirements using platforms like Postman, Swagger, and SOAP UI.
  • Validate results and perform data validation through the generation and analysis of various reports.
  • Collaborate with senior managers, project managers, and scrum masters to track project progress.
  • Analyze data and generate reports, dashboards, and applications using Splunk Enterprise and SQL.
  • Gather user stories and technical/business requirements for developers to scale project features.
  • Utilize tools like PlantUML, Camunda, and BPMN 2.0 to create/update business process models, sequence diagrams, process flow diagrams, and UI mockups.
  • Investigate triggered APIs across Telemetry applications and maintain relevant documentation.
  • Read and interpret code using Java and conduct API testing using tools like Postman.
  • Assist in defining technology options to meet project requirements.
  • Reverse engineer developed APIs (NodeJS, PHP, GraphQL) to maintain comprehensive documentation.
  • Design data models to integrate new data sources into databases such as MongoDB, Oracle, and Elastic.
  • Manage user data by performing CRUD operations in databases like PING, MONGODB, Oracle DB, REDIS, and Elastic.
  • Retrieve data from existing databases using SQL and NoSQL queries and create gap and root cause analysis reports.
  • Research and forecast future technical requirements based on input from cross-functional teams.
  • Support project delivery from product design to the implementation phase.
  • Work with developers to document feature changes or business logic failures post-production or deployments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in technology analysis and solution development.
  • Proficiency in software platforms such as Postman, Swagger, and SOAP UI.
  • Experience with Splunk Enterprise, SQL, and other data analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of API flows, data models, and database operations.
  • Familiarity with development languages like Java, NodeJS, PHP, and GraphQL.
  • Knowledge of tools like PlantUML, Camunda, and BPMN 2.0 for business process modeling.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery.
