Senior Style Editor, Commerce
Dotdash is looking for a senior style editor to work on the commerce team for Byrdie and Brides. The senior style editor will be responsible for covering the latest trends in the bridal fashion market as well as ready to wear fashion for Byrdie.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion, an eye for style, and attention to detail. This job requires both analytical and editorial skills to help drive making the best decisions for our readers.
About Your Contributions:
- Edit, publish, assign, and write when necessary, search-optimized commerce content
- Collaborate with the commerce, editorial, growth, and social teams
- Build and manage a diverse pool of expert writers who can cover fashion and style content
- Analyze revenue and make both editorial and data-driven decisions based on your knowledge
- Trend-forecasting what will be the next big search terms while also updating more evergreen content consistently
- Optimize content constantly for the best user experience
- Communicate effectively throughout the organization on goals and objectives
About You:
- 5+ years working at a publisher where you worked on creating commerce-focused content
- 2+ years of experience editing content
- Experience working in Skimlinks, Amazon associates, and pulling revenue numbers
- Detail-oriented and deadline-focused with solid editing skills, as well as a deep understanding of what works on the web
- Strong copywriter, capable of writing engaging, lively headlines and blurbs, all the while keeping Brides and Byrdie voices in mind
- Self-starter who wants to work for a growing company
- Passionate about shopping and always current on the latest trends
