Senior Software Application Engineer

Workday Accounting Center is on an exciting path to extend Workday Financial Management beyond traditional ERP boundaries. 


We are hiring developers to join a fun and energetic team,  using the latest of Workday technologies - XO/Java/Prism/WQL/OMS-Grid/etc.


As part of the next generation of software application engineers on the Financials team,  you will design and  develop high-quality, large scale enterprise cloud solutions, in an agile environment. You will work with software architects, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver solutions designed to meet the needs of today's large global businesses.  You will not only define the object model and application logic that are the ‘brains’ of our product, but also the APIs and interface with Prism and Workday Platforms. Development is all done in the cloud, on a single codeline, through a continuous development model.


ABOUT YOU

5-10+ years experience with Web application development or SaaS (Software as a Service); UML is a plus.

  • Senior or advance level of object oriented design and development experience in object oriented language such as Java, C#, ...etc.
  • Experience with JSON and Integration technologies is a plus.
  • Experience designing/developing business applications.  Knowledge of Financial Software, Accounting or Business Intelligence/Analytics​​ is a plus.
  • Must be a collaborative team player with good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good understanding of Software Engineering Principles
  • Passion for code quality
  • Experience with test-driven development process
  • Adapt and deliver on time working in a fast-paced environment
  • Metadata-driven definitional development experience is a plus
  • 4 year degree in a computer related field or equivalent
