Senior SAP Analytics

Calgary, AB

Pembina’s Information Service Unit (ISU) is recruiting for the role of Senior Analyst, SAP Reporting & Analytics to join the Information Services Unit (ISU) in our Calgary corporate office. The successful candidate will be responsible for development and support of the technical aspects of the SAP Analytics Landscape (SAP BW7.5 & BW/4HANA, Embedded BW/BPC and SAP Analytics Cloud). 


As a Senior Analyst, you will recommend and build out solutions that address business opportunities by leveraging SAP tools and technologies while working alongside a team that is building a growing inventory of SAP Reports that drive value for Pembina by reducing cost, increasing revenue and managing risk. 

 

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Analyze and frame business challenges and assess fit for SAP analytics solutions;
  • Build data solutions that span data modelling in BW/4HANA and develop reports to direct Pembina toward optimized outcomes;
  • Designs and configures SAP Embedded BPC financial planning and consolidation module functionality;
  • Collaborates with BPC Business Administrators, SAP FI/CO, PS, MM, PM and Basis/Security Analysts and IT Infrastructure resources;
  • Develops, documents and adheres to standard procedures and best practices; 
  • Understand and interpret internal stakeholders’ obligations and requirements.
  • Work with both business and technical leaders to design analytical solutions enabling decision support
  • Inspire and train your team to do their best work every day and rally around a common vision for the future
  • Lead the team to troubleshoot issues, perform post-mortems and root cause analysis for failures.
  • Follow required ITIL practices and change management processes and practices ensuring appropriate controls are followed; and
  • Participate in a diverse and Inclusive work environment.


Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with SAP Analytics;
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting or related discipline or 5+years of professional work experience in lieu of a degree;
  • SAP BW certification and HANA experience preferred;
  • Extensive experience with Analysis for Office, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BW 7.5+/ SAPBW/4HANA data modelling and HANA Calculation view development; 
  • Experience with SAP BPC is an asset;
  • Experience with analytics and data warehousing solutions outside of SAP is an asset;
  • Experience with using Eclipse/HANA Studio, XSA Web IDE and GIT hub;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective interactions with all levels of stakeholders;
  • Strong knowledge within SAP ERP landscape, including financial planning, accounting, Plant Maintenance operations, Supply Chain Management and Human Resources;
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks with limited supervision; and
  • Capacity to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced and deadline driven team environment.
