SoundCloud is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager who will work at the intersection of our product, music, and marketing teams. The Senior Product Marketing Manager role spans the most exciting parts of our business, from understanding and anticipating customer needs – be it hobbyist creators, professional artists or music listeners and fans – to building out positioning, messaging and go-to-market strategies for various products and features.

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will play an important role in shaping product strategy and driving revenue growth. If we can’t sell it, we probably shouldn’t build it. Working cross-functionally with teams across the entire organization, you will develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies, leveraging market insights to differentiate our offerings and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

More than anything, you know the power of a great story – and you love getting creative when telling them yourself.

  • Leverage internal and external data to identify audiences, trends, and competitive landscapes
  • Develop messaging and positioning that compels user behaviors and reaches into new marketing programs and campaigns
  • Lead the implementation of effective go-to-market plans for product and feature launches, holding stakeholders accountable to ensure successful execution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and challenge peers to drive product success through said positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies
  • Drive the creation of marketing assets and product-related content
  • Serve as a key stakeholder in product pricing and packaging strategies to maximize revenue
  • Analyze product performance metrics and market feedback to optimize marketing strategies and visions beyond the actual launch moment
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams and customers as a subject matter expert for the product portfolio
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform product development and marketing initiatives
  • Research trends, risks and opportunities in the music industry and digital streaming
  • Establish expertise in and enable stakeholders on a set of verticals and audiences

Experience & Background

  • 6+ years in Product Marketing or a related field
  • Passion for the future of music and knowledge about music industry dynamics
  • Communication chops with a track record of presenting to both senior management and external audiences
  • Good judgment and an ability to handle complex situations with clarity and confidence
  • Strength in establishing good relationships, building trust and managing stakeholders
  • Overall adaptability and organization skills; comfort managing multiple projects and setting priorities
