Senior Photographer

Doral, FL

Monat global, international brand in the beauty and wellness industry, is looking for a senior photographer that will contribute to and often lead the production process for photography, supporting workflow and file preparation for a wide variety of outputs.

 

Working closely with creative director, art directors, designers and our marketing team, you will take an active role in helping to ensure photography efficiently under tight schedules. Being resourceful, eager to learn and having a strong work ethic and a calm demeanor amid shifting priorities is a must.

 

The ideal candidate will have a background in working in an agency or in-house creative setting, working with digital media, website development and print production. This person is capable when needed, to produce original artwork based on established brand guidelines, mood boards and can help flesh them out in a wide variety of mediums.

 

A portfolio that demonstrates production skills across a variety of categories is a must.


Responsibilities

You will be tasked with hands-on production while working primarily alongside with art directors for:

  • Bringing ideas to the table to innovate photography for campaigns, digital, stills and interactive assets for social media.
  • Structured and methodical planner with excellent organization and implementation skills.
  • High end product and model photography for campaigns, social media (still life and lifestyle) and web assets in a very fast pace. In studio and different indoor/outdoors locations.
  • Mark up images with clear and informative notes for the retouch team.
  • Color correction.
  • File naming convention. Accurately archiving images to be easily accessed by other working with our Graphic Design, Web and Marketing team to easily find photographic assets.
  • Meeting daily and weekly deadlines to prepare for new brand material.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced photographers.


Qualifications

Experience & Desired Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Photography, Fine Arts or related field AND 4+ years experience in photography studio work, creative agency or in-house creative department, which includes photo processing; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Strong knowledge and management of lighting settings, natural lighting, and able to carry and move heavy equipment and props.
  • Assertive and constructive in directing models on set.
  • High level knowledge of photoshop, capture one, lightroom or similar programs.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and self-organization skills.
  • Respectfully persistent and relentless in the fierce pursuit of excellence.
  • Technical knowledge of printing, advertising and web production files are a plus.
  • Excellent collaborative, interpersonal, and communication skills and be able to work with minimal or no supervision as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to work well to deadlines and under pressure.
  • Required to travel for various assignments if needed.
  • Flexibility is necessary for this position, as you may need to work some holidays, or weekends.
  • A strong photography portfolio that demonstrates sufficient knowledge and techniques of digital photography.
