Senior Manager, Regional Operations

Who You Are: 

Museum of Ice Cream is looking for a Senior Manager, Regional Operations with a multi-faceted operations background to join the Operations team. If you are a seasoned leader with a comprehensive operations background, ready to orchestrate the seamless operation of multiple locations, we want to hear from you. Your strategic acumen, coupled with a track record of navigating the complexities of operational efficiency, team management, and elevating guest experiences, make you an ideal candidate. Your Day-to-Day:

Operational Leadership:

  • Based on needs of existing and new museum openings, oversee day-to-day operations at multiple Museum of Ice Cream site(s), ensuring consistency and high standards for operations are met. 
  • Act as de facto GM and AGM for periods of time and be able to train, function and execute all tasks of the unit management stack.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with site managers to achieve operational goals and uphold the museum's standards.
  • Be an active contributor to weekly GM Suite calls, ensuring accountability for deliverables assigned. 
  • Manage and uphold realistic expectations for sites, acting as a filter from the top down, as well as advocating for site and operational priorities.
  • Based on business needs, support units for an extended period of time (3 to 12 months) to reset unit operations or transition from new museum openings from production to opening operations. 


Team Development and Coaching:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to site managers and their teams, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance staff skills and ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Act as a peer mentor and coach to site managers, supporting their professional development.
  • Provide support in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new team members for upcoming museum openings.
  • Work closely with the change and learning team to ensure ongoing training and development initiatives are aligned with operational goals.
  • Drive best in class hospitality goals. 


Guest Experience Enhancement:

  • Work closely with the site managers and experience team(s) to ensure that each location delivers a consistently outstanding and engaging experience for guests and team members. This includes, but is not limited to writing and managing SOPs, checklists, performance plans and manuals.
  • Monitor guest feedback and work with GM, AGMs and leaders to implement improvements to enhance overall satisfaction.


Financial Management:

  • Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage budgets for each location.
  • Work with management to analyze financial reports to identify areas for cost efficiency and revenue growth.
  • Conduct cross-functional, monthly P&L meetings with the unit leaders too . 


Quality Control:

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure that each location meets quality and safety standards.
  • Address and resolve any operational issues promptly.


The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000 USD dependent on location and experience. In order to qualify for this role, you must live near a Museum of Ice Cream location. 


Requirements

The Necessities and Nice-to-Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior management and multi-unit operational roles, preferably within the hospitality or entertainment industry.
  • Ability to travel between locations up to 75% of the time as neede
  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial analysis.
  • Proven project management skills with a track record of successfully managing new museum openings and operational projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities with a focus on collaboration and team-building.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
