RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Sr. Manager of International Retail Operations, you will play a key role in strategy and execution at the forefront of Alo’s international retail expansion. Your responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute strategies for international retail expansion, assessing market viability, entry considerations, ideal timing/sequencing, and cultural nuances to support expansion into that market.
- Define store operations approach to support adaptation of North America store operations technology and process into various localized business models including freestanding stores, malls, and department store shop-in-shops.
- Develop and assess impact to existing operations across key cross-functional areas to support operations in new markets, including Legal, HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Planning, Allocation, Store Operations, Merchandising, Visual.
- Establish and manage critical path to open in a new market, considering all dependencies and cross-functional areas.
- Serve as the cross-functional Program Manager for owned and operated locations from strategy and planning through execution of the critical path to open and operate in a new market, managing concurrent country openings while coordinating and preparing for future markets.
- Maintain detailed project plans and support executive level updates of new country enablement status leading to first store opening.
- Localize and translate operational policy and procedure to remain compliant in new markets.
- Partner with the Global Education team to develop localized and translated onboarding materials.
- Source and establish relationships with suppliers to support in region store operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years in Retail Strategy and or Operations or in Management Consulting, MBA preferred
- Experience leading and supporting retail functions in international markets, including Europe and Asia
- Self-starter with ability to drive a high level of cross-functional collaboration, identify issues, propose solutions, manage risk, and implement improvements
- Strong business acumen across multiple business areas
- Ability to multi-task and work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
The base salary range for this position is $120,000-$150,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
