Johnson & Johnson Vision Care is recruiting for a Senior Manager, Global Communication & Public Affairs. The preferred location is Jacksonville, FL.


The Sr. Manager Global Communications & Public Affairs, J&J Vision Care will build and execute integrated communications plans to drive employee, customer and patient engagement for Johnson & Johnson Vision, and its portfolio of ACUVUE products and services!


Responsibilities Include

  • Identify and realize opportunities to promote and positively represent the franchise and brand through internal and external communication.
  • Seek new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness of key events and changes in the organization including the launch of new products, special events, local community service, and other topics of interest!
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, operations, human resources, product supply, key leaders, and others to develop innovative and engaging communications plans and strategies for Johnson & Johnson Vision and for ACUVUE.
  • Works in partnership with global and regional communications and marketing partners to drive a global agenda for the business.
  • Directs, coordinates and manages PR agency
  • Deliver exceptional content and creative output across audiences.
  • Build innovative and effective social media campaigns to drive awareness, engagement and adoption based on customer needs and business priorities.
  • Anticipate when there is a need to integrate communication projects with other enterprise teams and takes appropriate action to partner with them
  • Draft proposals for special communications projects; present and promote those projects to management.
  • Support brand awareness and reputation by growing positive media coverage and share of voice through quality story pitches, event opportunities and thought leadership content.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations in the company to share information (PowerPoint savvy!).
  • Support leader town halls, key messages, and some financial updates.
  • Represent the company in a variety of settings, always promoting the company in the best possible way.
  • Drive and influence the execution of critical business initiatives while working collaboratively with leaders and partners across functions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Required:

  • A bachelor's degree in Communications or relevant discipline
  • 8+ years of experience in communications with a focus on branded PR campaigns, media relations, issues management, and employee engagement
  • Knowledge of a highly regulated environment and a demonstrated understanding of the US FDA
  • Success in internal and executive communications
  • Measurable business outcomes for both professional- and consumer-facing PR programs across a wide range of channels (events, earned, owned, social, paid etc.)
  • Experience managing large-scale ($1MM +) branded PR campaigns is
  • Ability to work successfully in a matrix environment and driving results through influence within a global organization
  • Skilled judgment in launching new products and is sought after as an expert
  • Handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with an ability to navigate ambiguous situations
  • Current or previous experience overseeing agency partners


Preferred:

  • Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical arenas
  • Current or previous PR agency experience
