As a Senior Manager of Compensation, you will Lead the Annual Compensation planning efforts at CVS Health. You will be the voice of compensation and the business client to the HR Technical Support team. 


This role will allow you to work cross functionally to guide the compensation business requirements for all annual compensation elements (merit, bonus, and equity planning) and be responsible for creating and communicating compensation guidelines to all stakeholders. 


In this role you will be an integral member of the Compensation Team. Your experience in modeling and reporting compensation investments leveraging large data sets for our 300,000 colleagues has an overall impact to the business. 


This role communicates directly with the technical team and cascades information on a frequent basis to the Compensation Team, the HR Business Partners, and all managers in the organization to prepare and support a great experience for the compensation planning activities.


You will accomplish this by:

  • Leading the design and requirements for the advanced compensation module build in the Workday platform
  • Working closely with HR, Finance, Performance, Communications and Leadership clients to understand compensation strategies and requirements, and collaborate with the technical team to translate requirements into effective solutions
  • Providing expert guidance and support to the compensation team and HR Business partner community throughout all phases of the compensation planning lifecycle.
  • Leading team-wide system testing initiatives to ensure system is configured according to established business requirements
  • Conducting workshops and training sessions to educate stakeholders on compensation best practices, guidelines, and functionality
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand complex issues which arise, conduct research, and communicate swift outcomes to those impacted
  • Modeling all data proactively
  • Preparing summary reporting during the compensation planning process for all levels of leadership up to and including the CPO and CEO
  • Communicating clearly and removing barriers to execution
  • Developing and maintaining program plan audit reporting to ensure budgets are maintained
  • Conducting additional program leadership duties and may include larger change management & communication projects based on business goals and priorities


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in compensation or related HR or Finance field
  • 5+ years’ experience of advanced excel skills with ability to perform detailed calculations, modeling, and analysis of sensitive employee data


Preferred Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of Workday Advanced and Core Compensation
  • Adept at problem solving and investigating complex challenges to drive outcomes
  • Comfortable working in an environment with high workloads at times during peak compensation planning season(s)
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail and accuracy in work; and time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated team orientation and the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to work under strict deadlines and multi-task


Education

  • Bachelors' degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or equivalent experience in related field


Pay Range

$79,200.00 – $174,200.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
