Senior Legal Operations Specialist

San Francisco, CA

Samsara is looking to hire a Senior Legal Operations Specialist to join our growing Legal team! In this role, you will be the organizational force of the Legal team, and provide support with a myriad of day-to-day operations and maintain the Legal team’s processes, systems and tools. This role requires an individual who excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You are organized and able to manage competing priorities, while maintaining excellent results and attention to detail. You have strong communication and interpersonal skills and are not afraid to take on challenging requests and think outside of the box to problem solve. In this role, you will: 

  • Manage (including completing or triaging) incoming internal legal requests and track various metrics
  • Provide administrative support (executing, signing, filing documents, etc.) and maintain the legal filing and contract management systems
  • Drive internal legal operations workflows and provide general administrative and project support to the legal team
  • Collaborate with internal and cross-functional partners on a wide variety of operational and legal team projects
  • Establish processes and operationalize internal tools to better scale legal matters
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Obsess Over the Customer, Build for the Long Term, Growth Mindset) as we scale globally and across new offices    


Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 4+ years of admin or legal operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree with strong academic record 
  • Experience prioritizing competing deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and self-initiative with desire for impact
  • Excellent communicator and team player who can work across multiple teams


An ideal candidate also has:

  • In-house experience at a technology company
  • Notary license (can also be licensed after joining)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite

Regarding COVID-19

Samsara's offices are beginning to reopen for voluntary return. Reopening timelines will be communicated by region based on region-specific guidelines. We have transitioned all interviews and onboarding to be conducted virtually via Zoom video conferencing. Employees are able to work from countries and states where Samsara is a registered entity through December 2021. All employees are expected to return to our offices when they reopen with the exception of field-based and fully remote roles.
