The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Human Resources (HR) Manager to join the Vertical Lift HR Team in Mesa, Arizona. For 40 years the Mesa team has worked together to build a tremendous legacy in our state and our community. While we are known best for the Apache Helicopter, our site has become home to Boeing’s Enterprise Services and to Center of Excellence in Fabrication. Boeing Mesa takes part in helping our commercial and defense products take flight every day.


This position will have responsibility for leading a high performing HR team responsible to drive exceptional business results through cross-functional collaboration, employee engagement and execution of HR solutions to nearly 4500 employees across multiple business units. 


Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead cultural, collaboration and community strategies for Attack Programs and Mesa Site, by partnering with Program and site leaders to influence business and tactical strategies, alignment and prioritization of our actions to most effectively promote engagement of our team in order execute on our commitments, productivity and growth.
  • Partner with key leaders to identify and deploy business and workforce strategies, with specific emphasis on talent, culture, engagement and affordability strategies that enable business execution, productivity and growth.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with leaders, managers, employees, internal and external stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Anticipate future HR trends and identify innovative opportunities and programs to drive HR strategies to deliver business results
  • Drive execution of site and Program Strategies
  • Serve as a key leadership team member as an HR knowledge expert, consultant and strategic advisor
  • Build and sustain trusted relationships with senior executive leadership across the Business, Function and HR
  • Shape and influence the Business and Function vision, mission, priorities and long-range plans


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience communicating and implementing HR programs, policies, practices and processes
  • 5+ years of experience in a role utilizing business acumen and understanding
  • 5+ years of experience in influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders across functions
  • 5+ years of experience executing strategies and managing projects that promote a culture of superior customer service and exceptional employee engagement
  • 5+ years of experience partnering with leadership to design and implement workforce strategies to meet organization objectives
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams and direct reports


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher
  • Human Resources Certification
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role (formal and/or informal) within the Human Resource function
  • Collaboration across organizational boundaries to deliver an integrated final product
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, high-impact communication style
  • Experience managing and successfully leading HR strategy and process development and implementation across matrixes teams (and/or through geographically dispersed direct reports) in a large company
  • 5+ years of experience working with employees as a Human Resources Generalist (HRG)
  • 3+ years of experience developing and executing talent management strategies

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $114,660 - $212,940
