Senior Global Sales Director

The Senior Global Sales Director is a driven, knowledgeable and highly motivated sales professional that will assist the RVP, Global Sales in managing Hyatt’s Luxury Sales Account Directors/ Managers along with the directing our growth and market share within Luxury Consortia, external premium programs and key luxury travel agency partners. They are also responsible for helping set, implement and oversee the organization’s sales strategy, strategic objectives and tactics/initiatives for luxury, lifestyle and leisure sales within their designated Directors and account base/region. They will have defined goals including a revenue target along with specific sales targets which may include but are not limited to Prive revenue, ADR, Suite growth and shifting market share. This position will also be responsible for developing and nurturing long term strategic global accounts/relationships with a focus on increasing revenue, new business development and brand awareness globally along with supporting our hotels through proactive sales missions, tradeshows/events and hotel familiarization trips. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: understanding customer trends, contributing to team accounts and collaborating on strategic company initiatives, while maintaining travel expenses within the set budget. Successful execution of sales strategies is required to achieve financial targets. This is a remote position and the individual reports directly to the Regional Vice President, Global Sales.


  • Negotiate competitive deals offering value to the customer while maintaining profitability to Hyatt
  • Drive Prive revenue and provide constructive feedback on the program/account from knowledge of competitive programs and customer
  • Create and implement strategic plan for portfolio of accounts, in order to meet/exceed revenue goals
  • Total Account Management of designated portfolio of accounts
  • Helps centralize the process for new hotel applications to key luxury consortia partners, while also providing guidance and support to our internal luxury program, Hyatt Privé.
  • Sales Calls & Business travel including QBR’s,Tradeshows, Fam Trips and internal meetings where necessary
  • Orchestration of quarterly and annual account reviews and market action plans and collaborating with Directors & Manages to drive production 
  • Able to work independently and makes decisions based on established policies and procedures while sticking to budget
  • Creates and is accountable for daily direction of Luxury Account Directors in North America
  • To support and drive various Luxury point of sale projects set forth by RVP Americas and Global VP Luxury, Lifestyle & Leisure Sales
  • Management of North America Luxury Sales Initiatives and sales targets and goals
  • Support RVP Americas in goal setting and Sales Incentive Plans for Account Directors, Global Sales Managers in North America
  • Collaborates closely with each direct report on implementing new business development and growth in mature markets
  • Actively research B2B opportunities in driving revenue, brand awareness and total account management
  • Provide feedback to RVP and Global VP and our hotels on market conditions, forecasts and recommendations
  • Provide expertise and support to our hotels in driving share growth or secure partnerships in Luxury Consortia programs

  • At least 10 years related industry experience
  • Has worked within hotel sales operations, managed budgets and team members
  • Strong understanding of the Global travel and a network of contacts


  • 4 year degree preferred or equivalent work experience

Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job

  • Solid written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills · Strong client relationships
  • Strong knowledge and command of CVENT/Lanyon & Envision are a plus
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a can-do positive attitude
